Room Owner controls

Participants do not need to learn owner controls in order to join and use a Room.

Roles

Owner
Controls the Room and uses the private Owner PIN for verified owner access.
Co-owner
Can perform selected management work under the configured moderation hierarchy.
Staff
Can assist with selected moderation tasks without receiving identical owner authority.
Participant
Uses the Room conversation and the features allowed by Room settings.

Access and moderation

Owners can protect the door and use knock approvals. Authorized managers can remove or escort someone from the Room, or block that person from returning to that Room. Lower roles cannot moderate higher roles.

Room bans are Room-level service controls; they are not proof of a person's real identity or a platform-wide identity ban.

Room settings and content

Room settings can control participant GIF use. Reserved Room settings can allow photos and manage additional Room choices, including eligible listing and entry options. Owners can also change a Room password when the available Room settings support it.

Opening, closing, and ending a Room

Owner controls can manage the active Room and its door. Burn Room ends the active Room for everyone currently inside. It does not promise to erase every possible copy everywhere, and a Reserved Room's name and subscription are separate from ending its current live session.
