Community Guidelines

Use JoinRooms to communicate with people—not to harm, exploit, deceive, or invade the privacy of others.

Last updated: July 25, 2026

Be respectful

  • Do not harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or intimidate people.
  • Disagreements are allowed; targeted abuse is not.
  • Do not encourage violence or celebrate harm.

Protect people and their privacy

  • Do not share private or identifying information without permission.
  • Do not distribute non-consensual intimate or private material.
  • Do not impersonate someone in order to deceive, harm, or gain access.
  • Do not treat a Room nickname as verified identity.

Zero tolerance for sexual exploitation of minors

Do not create, request, share, promote, obtain, or attempt to distribute child sexual abuse material. Grooming, trafficking, solicitation, sexualization of minors, or other conduct that exploits or endangers a minor is prohibited.

For immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service. JoinRooms may preserve and report relevant information to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, law enforcement, or other appropriate authorities.

No illegal, fraudulent, or malicious activity

  • Do not use Rooms for illegal content or conduct.
  • Do not spread malware, phishing links, scams, spam, or fraud.
  • Do not use media features to distribute infringing, deceptive, or harmful content.
  • Do not attack, disrupt, or overload JoinRooms.

Respect Room access and moderation

  • Do not share Room access beyond the intended group without permission.
  • Do not bypass passwords, knock entry, bans, rate limits, or other access controls.
  • If an authorized manager removes you, do not repeatedly attempt to return.
  • Owners and managers must not use their controls to facilitate abuse.

Report serious concerns

Use the in-product Serious Concern option when available or follow Safety and Reporting. Include useful context without sharing passwords, Owner PINs, payment information, or unrelated private content.

Enforcement

Room managers may remove or ban participants within their authority. JoinRooms may restrict content, Rooms, devices, Reserved Room privileges, or service access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Guidelines, protect people, comply with law, or secure the service.

These Guidelines summarize conduct expectations. The Terms of Use provide the broader legal terms.
