Why JoinRooms exists

A simpler place for a group to meet

JoinRooms gives a small group one shared online Room without asking everyone to set up a server, social profile, or complicated workspace.

The problem JoinRooms solves

Sometimes a group needs one place to talk without adopting another large communication platform. JoinRooms focuses on that smaller job: open a browser-based Room, share access with the intended people, and start a conversation.

It is designed for friends, families, gaming groups, clubs, communities, and other small circles. It is not trying to replace every messaging or collaboration service.

Simple first, optional depth later

A participant can enter the required Room details, choose a nickname, and join. Chat is the center of the experience. Owner controls, Reserved Room settings, Theater, and Music are there when the group needs them.

See the basic JoinRooms journey or compare Temporary and Reserved Rooms.

Browser-based by design

JoinRooms works in modern phone, tablet, and desktop browsers. Supporting browsers can also install it for app-like access. Joining a Room does not require a JoinRooms account, profile, follower list, or social feed.

An independent project

JoinRooms is independently developed and operated around a focused product purpose: make small shared Rooms quick to open, understandable to join, and flexible enough to grow with a group's needs.

Questions and feedback can be sent through the JoinRooms contact directory. Product instructions are available in the Help Center.
